The past year has been filled with brands and consumers talking about and purchasing daily deals from websites like Groupon and Living Social. Consumers and their experiences with daily deals continues. This infographic points to some interesting information. Consumers control the market and what they want is important. Is there a future with the daily deal?

The digital generation is seeking employment and an exciting atmosphere to work. The daily deal offers discounts for consumers, and jobs for those looking for opportunity. It’s unfortunate that Groupon is facing a class-action lawsuit from its sales team. We feel that this will have a direct impact of the brand and how it’s viewed by consumers.

With all the hype about daily deal sites, the market has become saturated. From large national brands to local brands and newspapers, and everything between, brands are discounting their products and services to gain business. Are the demands and expectations of consumers being met? At what point does a consumer become a customer, then a customer for life? If there is value on the dollar, why discount at all?
