Monday night debuted AMC’s new show “The Pitch.” The show focuses on two rival advertising agencies and one client. If you like Mad Men..let’s try that again. If you love Mad Men, this show is for you. With creative business, it all comes down to the pitch. You have to sell your idea better than the other agency, or have a better idea all together. In the dog eat dog world of advertising, this show got our creative juices flowing.
This week the two rival agencies were SK+G and The Ad Store, both were working to gain the business of Waste Management. The assignment was to build a strategy around communication and education of waste to energy, part of the conversation not yet communicated by Waste Management. Both agencies had one week to put pen to paper, come up with concepts, ideas, and a strategy. At the end of their time, both agencies are called back to present and pitch their ideas. There can only be one winner.
Did you watch “The Pitch”? What were your thoughts on the show and everything about it?
